Keeping you informed…

Following the introduction of increased restrictions to slow the speed of COVID-19 we have had to reduce our services to looking after urgent cases only.

Reducing staffing also means that we will not necessarily have staff at both our surgeries every day but we will answer all calls and deal with any of our patients and clients wherever we happen to be!

In summary:

  1. We are not doing ANY routine work. This includes ALL vaccinations.
  2. We will be consulting mainly be video link and prescribing guidelines have recently been changed to allow for this. We can manage quite a range of conditions by this method.
  3. Call the surgery if you have an emergency  (0151 601 2787) – we will triage over the telephone and decide if a video consultation is suitable or if you should come down to the surgery.
  4. We will continue to provide medications and food for your pets as usual and are opting for home delivery in most cases. Please just allow 72 hours for ordering and delivery during this time.
  5. STAY SAFE – STAY HOME

Many people have called us who have pets who are due their vaccinations – in most cases, it is safe to postpone these.

Here’s a video from Kate explaining a bit more about this.

We do advise that you continue your routine worming and flea treatment – you will not want to be dealing with a flea or worm problem in your pet while you’re all stuck at home!
